While the whole menu is free of refined sugars, peanuts, artificial flavors, and gluten, you have options if you have specific dietary requirements. The company makes it easy to look at carbs, protein, and other nutrition information so you can tailor your meals to your dietary preferences. Freshly offers individual-serving-sized meals that have been freshly prepared by chefs. Signup is easy online or on the app, and they provide a full menu of many different types of meals for you to choose from. When you sign up, you’ll select your preferred delivery date (and you can keep this day of the week going forward). Then, you go through and choose your meals for the coming week, add your payment method, and the company begins preparing your meals after checkout.
To make your order, you can go to Freshly.com or download the Freshly App on your Smartphone or tablet. Start by hitting the "Sign Up" button, which will ask you for your email and zip code. Once entered, you'll continue to finish setting up your account with a password and you will need to verify your email address. After your account is set up, you'll be able to choose a delivery date. Next, you get to choose your meals and then add payment information to complete your order. Every week you'll be reminded to change and confirm your meals for the next week, and you always have the option to skip a week, which comes in handy if you're going on a vacation or just want a break.
When your Freshly box arrives, it will come packed with ice packs and plenty of cushioning to protect the food. Even if you're not home at the time, your meals will stay chilled until you're home to put them in the refrigerator, as they're packed to survive two days for transport. You can store them in your refrigerator for up to a week, although Freshly does not recommend that you freeze these meals.
When you open the box, you'll find the individual pre-packed meals. From there, all you need to do is store and heat them in the microwave. Most meals only take 3-3.5 minutes of microwave time and an additional two minutes of resting. The best part is that there's no cleanup to worry about after your meal. Each box is designed to last for up to a week, and you'll receive your next box (unless you skip a week) on the same day the following week.
